Scarlet Pimpernel - Cast & Crew
-
Brandon Stanford
Percival Blakeney, the Scarlet Pimpernel
Brandon Stanford is excited to perform again with One Accord at the Westwood Presbyterian Church in The Scarlet Pimpernel. He is a local community theater actor who was last seen with local choral ensemble One Accord in Into The Woods (Wolf/Rapunzel's Prince). He'd like to thank this great cast, especially his fellow fops—that'll probably make more sense once you see the show.
-
Julie Hinton
Marguerite St. Just,
Music DirectorJulie has degrees in acting from Dixie College and BYU. She has performed leading roles in productions such as South Pacific, Kiss Me, Kate and two touring Shakespeare companies (see www.juliehinton.net). In her spare time, she writes, quilts and occasionally tries to train her voice to break glass.

Rob Moffat
Chauvelin
-
Keith Paugh
Ozzy
1. Can act faster than 10 men.
2. Loves Robert Guillaume.
3. Can breath fire. -
Sterling Funk
Dewhurst
Sterling Funk has always had the dream to be able to go out on stage and dance for those who need a lift. As a BYU Young Ambassador, Sterling was able to fulfill that dream and continues that dream in this production. All of his inspiration for dancing and acting comes from his precious friend Chiara, to whom he dedicates this performance.
-
Travis Morgan
Elton
The Scarlett Pimpernel represents Travis' debut performance on stage. Though once believed to have performed on London's West End, these generous rumors turned out to be unfounded. He can be seen, however, on the small screen (the very small screen of YouTube, that is) in Cameron Sawyer's production of Tom Cruise on Home Teaching and Emily Janice Card's retelling of Victorian female brawlers in the instant classic, Jane Austen's Fight Club. Travis also performs on a weekly basis by giving rousing announcements in church.

Dave Axelgard
Armand, Marquis de St. Cyr
Dave Axelgard is a writer, producer, and erstwhile Arabian Peninsula television personality. His work in the past two Westwood Presbyterian shows - as The Baker in Into the Woods and Archibald Craven in The Secret Garden - were met with mixed reviews. An avid lucid dreamer, he hopes one day to get a tattoo that says "I've made a huge mistake".
-
Dave Thompson
Robespierre, Prince of Wales
David C. Thompson studied film at the University of Utah and has been working in Los Angeles since 2004. He performs with The Society Improv comedy troupe with fellow castmates Eric Artel and Rob Moffat. He may look familiar to you because you've seen him on TV or at your local grocery store, but most likely because he personally invited you to this play.
-
Meghan Stettler
Marie Grosholtz
New media mad scientist, opera aficionado, and duck decoy carver. Favorite leading roles in Spitfire Grill, Lucky Stiff, and The Baker's Wife, with four regional seasons with various iconic TV personalities. While in New York, she was casting associate for over 30 national commercials, and assisted with Elton John's Tony Award winning Billy Elliot on Broadway. She's currently Publicity Manager for KCET in Los Angeles.
-
Eric Artell
Phillipe Tussaud
Eric Artell is excited to perform with his friends in The Scarlet Pimpernel. He knows who the pimpernel is, but he won't tell you so as not to ruin it. If you'd like to see what else he's done in the acting world, you can check out imdb.com.

Web Guy
GopherMatthew began his theater career in high school, where he was a lanky, lurch-like creature, regularly cast in the role of villains and murderers. In college, he realized it would be nice if, when someone blew a line or missed an entrance, the director could just yell "cut" and they could do it over. He therefore acquired a degree in Film from BYU.
Years later, reality reared its ugly head, so he taught himself web development. It is thought that at some point in his life he had a sense of humor, but billions of ones and zeros have all but washed it away. The website you now puruse is his handiwork, of which you can view more at www.gurustump.com.
-
Jeff Dickson
Maltype, Sentry
What Jeff Dickson lacks in acting technique, he completely makes up for in his unabridged lack of stage fright. He's also an excellent vocal percussionist and he rollerskates like a Greek god. One day, he hopes to have a statue of himself holding a musket while staring down danger.
-
Biz Tanner
Mrs. Jessup, Chorus
Biz Tanner is a Children's Librarian who loves to sing, play the piano, and read in her spare time. Her theatrical experience has been limited, in recent years, to dramatic storytime readings of Good Night, Gorilla and Go Away Big Green Monster, both of which have received wide critical acclaim from children between the ages of 2 and 4 in her library. Biz hopes to someday write a Newbery Award winning book about a little boy named Baba Ree.

Chorus
-
Trina Talbot
Chorus
Trina put on her very first ballet shoes at the age of 3 and performed in hundreds of dance productions throughout her school years. She was involved in her first musical at age 8 as she joined her father in performing in "The Music Man." She has since ventured out on her own, performing in productions such as "Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat", "The Wizard of Oz", and most recently as Snow White in "Into the Woods". She is thrilled at the chance to perform with such an amazingly talented cast and promises not to wear her nursing scrubs or stethoscope at any time during this performance... but may just break out a kickboxing routine or two before the weekend is over.

Stefani Batson
Chorus,
CostumesStefani has been in a few church productions during her time here in LA including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat and Kiss Me Kate. She is fairly sure, however, that she was asked to join this production only after agreeing to costume the show. If you look closely, you may see the hundreds of pin pricks she has experienced while sewing the many costume pieces.
-
Lynsey Davis
Chorus
She's the one on the right.
-
Emily Janice Card
Director
Emily Janice Card is a writer, actor, director, and creator of the viral video Jane Austen's Fight Club. She is also an audiobook narrator, most recently of the Odyssey Honor book Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly, which also centers on the French Revolution. After this production, Emily hopes to go to France and see how it's been doing lately.
-
Daniel Gledhill
Accompanist
Daniel Gledhill began studying the piano at the age of 5 with Irene Peery-Fox and continued with her up until his graduation from Brigham Young University in 2008. As a competitor, he has received 1st prizes both nationally and internationally and has also performed with numerous orchestras across the United States. After his time spent at BYU, Daniel continued his education at the University of Southern California, earning a graduate certificate from the Film Scoring program, which is something he pursues avidly.
